Well finally can announce Sall gave birth to her 2nd litter and the only problem on having your own stud boy at home as in Sexy Tag we had 3 matings over a period of days so from last Thursday Sall was going to bed with us and boy can she snore and having put up with it over 5 nights the tiredness was setting in, Tuesday morning she got me up at 4.00 am as she was sick seemed all ok so took her back to bed, Simon took over at 8.00 am as he works Tuesday afternoons and I rose at 9.30 but as already said was really washed out, Simon left for work at 12.30 and Sall gave birth to the 1st puppy at 12.50 it was a slow afternoon and I was peeling off clothes LOL but with hot flushes and the heating on in the sitting room for the puppies I just hoped no one called at the door....Well by the time Simon walked in again at 5.20 pm he had the pleasure of seeing the last puppy born, last year she had 5 born 30/03/07 and after the 5th this time was born this time I wondered if she had finished but on looking at her I could still see and feel a hard mound so knew another was on his way took him a while over a good hour and came with a whoosh but was thrilled to have 6 healthy babies 2 girls and 4 boys and Sall was so chilled about it and a day and half later is doing a wonderful job, eating really well and I have just gave her a drink of goats milk , honey and Stress powder a good heaped desert spoon as we have always used this once they have gave birth we give it twice a day, its basically calcium powder we like to think it helps to keep them calm and gives them an added boost, plenty of fresh water as that's what makes milk and plenty of different meats today's she had cooked lambs kidneys boiled in garlic olive oil and water and she loved them, the garlic was more for my benefit as cant stand the smell of cooking kidneys or liver.
Babies are very even have a couple of boy's with nice white chests and some white on the feet which most of will disappear the girls only have a smudge of white on the chest and are very black , strange you might say very black well its our opinion their are different shades of black , you have your smoked black , your grey black and your black black, Tag is very black black so looks like these will be as well, will post pic's when they are a bit older but no point at the moment as they are just tadpoles I will be happy to get to Friday as they will be 4 days old then so we should be on a roll, 4 babies maybe 5 are already spoken for and hadn't got enough bitch puppies gone are the days where we were just grateful for what popped out but at least now no one tries to book a puppy with a big white chest and 4 white feet, the breed line is pretty amazing and well we know that Sall is a good-un I have every confidence though Tag maybe small in the show world at this moment ( But he is standard bloody 16" and at 21 months weighs 36.5 lbs ) and some of the dogs out there could make two of him but when he turns 3 he will be pretty awesome and those big Buggers will be gone because they just kept on getting more coarse and cloddy, but I like to think I have got it right and have to remain faithful to what we are and have achieved and though you can some times become a bit disillusioned you mustn't lose sight of the reasons you fell in love with this wonderful breed...Ok will do an on going report of the pup's and Mum poor Tag and Nell are desperate to get in here and have a look but that wont be for at least a week or so but will post plenty of pics
